8/27 Concert - Tom Conlon & Wendell Kimbrough

There are of course many good Christian singers and bands out there, but here's one particular act that's coming to a church near you and promises to be both catchy and edifying. Hosted at my second church, Washington Community Fellowship, at 9th & Maryland NE, 7:30 pm on August 27. See the concert website at http://tomconlonindc.info/.


New York native Tom Conlon has a unique ability to put the meaning of relationships to song. Personal lyrics and skilled guitar work make all of his songs a meditation in their own right.


And Mississippi transplant Wendell Kimbrough, who will open, brings a folk/jig/soul background to the stage. By day he puts his talents to use for the Church in DC as Director of Worship Arts for The Church of the Advent in Columbia Heights.

    Update - I only got to stay for Wendell's music and two of Tom's songs, but it was a great show. I am hoping to catch another of Wendell's shows around town.
