Almost all DC school playgrounds have basketball hoops. But not all those basketball hoops have nets. DC schools also have lots of teenagers, but not all those teenagers have spending (or other) money. It would be cool for a church or ministry to employ a youth group, a basketball team, or any old group of teenagers to go around and replace broken or non-existent nets with good new ones. From the kids' perspective, it's summer job meets scavenger hunt. And it would be a good way for God's Church to help the schools in our neighborhoods.
I'm not sure what the process would have to be make such a project official with the school board, but I suspect they would appreciate the gift. And I wouldn't be shocked if someone donated a few nets either.
